Speaking Clock Deluxe 3.52 is a program that turns your computer into a speaking clock.
This program can tell you the time on 25 different languages, at the moment you want or in regular intervals.
Speaking Clock Deluxe also has an alarm that can be set to remind you of important events, playing any sound file you want or some of the built in.
When you run the program for the first time, it will display a window that will offer you to adjust a quick setup. There you will be able to configure the Announce Options (every a given lapse, play a chime before telling the time), the Time Mode (12/24 hs.) and the Start Options.
The interface of the program resembles a LCD Clock, with its digital numbers and fonts telling you the date and time. You will be able to access some utilities using the buttons displayed at the bottom of the clock (Calculator, Calendar, Alarms, Timer/Stopwatch, Settings). Pressing the "Speak!" button you will hear the current time in your speakers, with the voice and language that you choose in the Settings section.
Talking Alarm Clock lets your computer remind you of important dates and events.

The program's interface is fairly intuitive, although some features that seemed like they would be accessible in the Settings menu could actually only be accessed by right-clicking on the program in the system tray. No matter; that's about as complicated as the program got. Although there were some aspects of the text-to-speech features that weren't intuitive, the built-in Help file explained everything clearly. The interface organizes all of the feature's options into easy-to-navigate tabs, making it simple to configure the clock to your liking. The program offers what you would expect of a speaking clock; analog and digital settings, several skins, alarms, a timer/stopwatch, and customizable intervals for speaking the time. The clock also includes a few unexpected extras, such as a calendar and speaking calculator. The alarm feature includes a lot of options, such as variety of alert sounds and the ability to use an agent--an animated cartoon character--to deliver alerts. I also liked the fact that users can choose between natural speech or text-to-speech, and that the Help file explained the differences between the two.
Overall, Speaking Clock Deluxe performed well and included everything I'd want from a speaking clock. The program has a 30-day trial limitation. It comes as a ZIP file and leaves a folder behind upon removal. I recommend this program to all users...
